Administrator/Teacher Testimonials
What do Administrators/Teachers have to say about
Effective Leadership Academy (ELA)?
ELA consultants visit my
class weekly to provide intensive leadership training. Their program materials
are of excellent quality, their activities resound with the students at their
level and their dynamic personalities bring the concepts to life through real
stories, challenges and examples. I’ve found ELA to compliment my Marketing
Career tech Prep Initiative in several ways. First, the concepts of leadership
and success that are taught in ELA provide my students useful tools to prepare
them for their future success. Second, ELA can “meet you where you are” with
your students. The consultants are excellent at adapting their program to meet
the needs of your classroom and individual student needs. Most importantly, ELA
programming brings to life the vital 21 Century skills necessary
for today’s students to compete in a global economy. ELA supports my curriculum
as well as the incorporation of the important skills of collaboration,
communication, creativity and innovation, and creative problem solving into my
curriculum. …I’ve found a partner in ELA that helps create and inspire young
leaders that will be the driving force behind our economic future.

"As the seventh grade homeroom teacher, I appreciate
the ELA program and welcome it to my classroom. My students learn skills that help them to be
leaders and productive members of a group.
They learn their strengths and weaknesses, and they are able to set
meaningful goals for themselves. I see
the benefits of this program most clearly when they return to me as eighth
graders, ready to take on the challenge of being the leaders of the
school."

"Thank
you for the wonderful contribution you are making to our Morgan Leaders’
Program. I don’t know how we survived the last couple of years without you.”

“Goal setting
and achievement are essential skills no
matter what our University School students end up doing in their
lives. At a recent Life Skills Workshop, Flo presented a dynamic
program
for our 100 seniors. Combining practical techniques with inspirational
messages, Flo delivered an effective learning program.”

“As an educator, I am continually seeking out opportunities to bring real world experiences to my students to foster their professional development and understanding of the curriculum. Through ELA I watched my students evolve in front of me. The curriculum is essential, but it was the facilitators that made it come alive. ELA impacted my students’ self esteem and confidence, leadership skills, goal setting abilities, time management and networking skills, project management strategies and professionalism. Business and industry is demanding that its workforce have these skills but when and where do students learn them? ELA not only taught my students these success skills but truly developed them in these aspiring young professionals. My students are leaving ELA's program with a competitive advantage that applies throughout their future education and professional opportunities.”

"We continue to support the Leadership Academy program which we began
several years ago for our 7th graders. One of the most important aspects of the program is that it can be tailored to meet the needs of each class,
since each class has a different personality. We continue to hear from parents
that they notice after only a few weeks that their child is more focused, they are setting goals, and they are excited about the program. At graduation
each year, the students clearly have appreciated the time and energy they and
the facilitators have put into the program, and are willing to publicly share
this with their parents and teachers."
